Gina Garan made toy history when she started photographing Blythe Dolls, a short-lived Kenner product of the early 1970s. Gina, who works as a video and TV producer, started carrying at least one of her Blythes wherever she went on her travels around the world and took many photos. In concjunction with a photo exhibition by Gina, a reproduction line--the Neo-Blythes was launched; The underappreciated beauties had become instant icons with a serious cult following.
Together with Gina, Cecilia of Craftsbury Kids has put together a collection of custom Blythe photographs for you.
This photo is of the original prototype for the Gentle River doll, shot in Central Park, NYC.
The Gentle River print is 8" x 12" (larger sizes possible-please inquire) printed on Matte paper and signed by Gina. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery of this custom item.
