Billy Sue Textiles

Each Billy Sue Textiles scarf is a practical piece of art, adding beauty to the life of its wearer, while cozy, warm, light-weight and great for any season. Using cashmere and tencel yarns, hand-dyed by herself, Debbie Barrett-Jones weaves stunning scarves for babies, giving them the same attention to detail, color, and compostition as she does her adult scarves. 

Debbie holds a Kansas City Art Institute B.F.A degree in textiles. After several years exploring textile possibilities, she has established mastery with cashmere and tencel on an eight-harness floor loom and a sixteen-harness dobby loom.

Along with weaving large-scale comission pieces for sanctuaries, businesses, and the home, Debbie develops new ideas on a smaller scale. Debbie finds inspiration in color and that is why she hand-dyes almost all of her yarns. Each scarf and shawl is a new composition, an art piece to wear.
